TUNDE Some say that one usually discovers their purpose in life by accident. Looking into the life of Tunde, the second brain behind MicTunes, one must say it’s not by accident but by the grace of God that he discovered his love for music making. After avoiding music in school, Tunde got a second chance at music when he occasionally began playing the drums in church. “Later on I took some bass lessons, but I was what you called a lazy musician who relied on inspiration and emotion to play every Sunday in church.” At the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Roosevelt Island, NY Tunde met Dove Award winning pianist, Cliff Branch, who had worked with Maxi Priest and Hezekiah Walker. After accompanying Branch to Quad Studios in Manhattan, Tunde knew at the very moment he stepped into the studio that music making was his fate. Later, he began cutting back on his lavish lifestyle to save money to buy the advanced equipment he needed to turn his home into a mini music studio. He produced music day and night and he was able to get other up and coming producers to critique his work. “The more I focused on what I wanted to become, the more I got into my craft. I learned everything I could, and surrounded myself with good people who knew what they were doing and I listened to every critique.” All he has learned has led to the release of “A CHANGE.” Tunde himself has experienced a change indeed, coming a long way from being a “lazy musician.”
